The Lisa of Ondo Kingdom, Ilemobayo Akinnola, is dead.

President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday commiserated with the Minister of Communications Technology, Mrs. Omobola Johnson, other members of the Akinnola family as well as the government and people of Ondo State over the death of the traditional Prime Minister of Ondo Kingdom, High Chief Bayo Akinnola.
Akinnola, who died in Lagos on Wednesday, was the minister’s father.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, the President said he received the news of the chief’s death with a feeling of great national loss.
He urged those left behind by the deceased to be consoled by the knowledge that he lived a most fulfilled life, and that he left a legacy of notable achievements in various fields of human endeavour for his offspring.
The statement read, “President Goodluck Jonathan has received with much sadness and a feeling of great national loss, news of the passing away of the traditional Prime Minister of Ondo Kingdom, High Chief Bayo Akinnola, yesterday in Lagos.”
Also, Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has described the death of the late Lisa of Ondo Kingdom, as a painful loss to the people of Ondo State and the entire Nigerians.
Mimiko, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Eni Akinsola, on Thursday, said the death of the Prime Minister of Ondo Kingdom, by all ramifications, remained the passage of an icon in all ramifications.
Mimiko dscribed the late Akinnola,  as an icon of tradition, grace, elegance and leadership.
Mimiko said, “The late Akinnola is not only an icon but a man who established his presence anywhere he found himself. He was a politician who became a commissioner at a very young age in the western region.”
